Increasing the safety and convenience of passengers in the airport through facial recognition

Airports can be a stressful and chaotic place. With facial recognition, passengers will have a more seamless and secure airport experience. Passengers will be able to pass through baggage drop off, the entrance of the security check, border, and boarding without the necessity to show passport nor boarding pass. As a result, passengers’ passport and boarding pass can stay safe in their bag. Together, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Edenspiekerman are working to explore the use cases and implement this new technology. As a UX designer, I worked on the systemic thinking of the passenger flows, prototyped solutions, and conducted several pilots.

Due to the nature of the project and NDA, I cannot share more details. If you want to know more, feel free to reach me out.
